Utahns are in the clear for any really unpleasant weather this week. Sunshine is expected for most of the week even as temperatures cool off again starting Wednesday. Eastern Utah remained under a hazardous weather outlook through Monday as isolated showers and thunderstorms might pop up amid the sunshine and warm temperatures. Utah mother nearly killed child with alcohol, police say

A Weber County mother gave her young, disabled daughter so much alcohol that the girl could have died, a sheriff’s deputy said Saturday. Sheriff’s deputies arrested Raquel Borce, 31, Wednesday for giving her 4-year-old daughter alcohol in April, Weber County Sheriff’s deputy Klint Anderson said Saturday. The girl has cerebral palsy and Anderson described her as “very fragile” and unable to take care of herself. “It’s not possible that this child inadvertently consumed alcohol,” Anderson said....

Provo • The search for a missing Brigham Young University student and avid hiker became a recovery effort Thursday after Tyler Mayle’s body was found at the bottom of a cliff. The 22-year-old’s remains were located about 8:40 p.m. Wednesday, 65 feet below the rim of a cliff near the popular “Y” Mountain trail system in the hills east of BYU’s Provo campus.
