Utah Highway Patrol troopers said David P. Hellrigel, 49, of Bozeman, Mont., was riding southbound about 15 miles north of Vernal on State Road 191 in the area known as the “The Switchbacks” when he failed to negotiate a curve. David P. Hellrigel, of Bozeman, Mont., was riding south on U.S. Highway 191 through an area known as “The Switchbacks,” according to the Utah Highway Patrol. About noon, Hellrigel failed to negotiate a turn and was thrown from the motorcycle against the guardrail, UHP said. A Walgreens surveillance camera shows a man in a flannel shirt and jeans walking out of the store, at 316 U.S. 40, on Saturday with a water jug half-full of money meant for the American Cancer Society’s big fundraiser. Vernal City has posted the picture on their Facebook page in hopes that someone will recognize him.
