NEW ORLEANS • A second suspect has been arrested in the shooting that injured 20 people at a parade on Mother’s Day, police said Thursday afternoon. Shawn Scott, 24, was arrested Thursday, police Chief Ronal Serpas said. He is the brother of 19-year-old Akein Scott, who was arrested Wednesday night in the shooting. As an American citizen, I understand the hatred some people have for Tamerlan Tsarnaev, the slain suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings. However, refusing this person a burial place was totally uncalled for. After all, all religious faiths teach compassion. Not for a murderer, but for one of God’s creations.
