A teenage boy remained in critical condition Wednesday, the day after being hit while crossing a busy North Logan street on his bicycle. The 15-year-old boy was flown to Primary Children’s Medical Center Tuesday afternoon after being struck by a truck about 3:25 p.m. near Highway 91 and 1600 North. North Park police said the boy was three-quarters of the way across the road when he was hit in the outside northbound lane. The Utah Highway Patrol was trying Tuesday to figure out why a car drove into oncoming traffic on a southern Davis County stretch of Interstate 215, triggering a head-on crash that killed one man and left another critically injured. An elderly Utah man was killed early Monday morning when his car crossed over the center line and crashed into a concrete culvert on U.S. 287 in Wyoming. Wyoming Highway Patrol Sgt. Stephen Townsend said that 73-year-old Marcus Archuletta, of Taylorsville, was dead at the scene of the 4:15 a.m. crash 17 miles north of Rawlins. Montana motorcycle rider dies in eastern Utah crash

A 49-year-old motorcyclist died Saturday after he struck a guardrail about 15 miles north of Vernal. David P. Hellrigel, of Bozeman, Mont., was riding south on U.S. Highway 191 through an area known as “The Switchbacks,” according to the Utah Highway Patrol. About noon, Hellrigel failed to negotiate a turn and was thrown from the motorcycle against the guardrail, UHP said. Hellrigel was wearing a helmet but died before responders arrived.

The condition of a Duchesne man hurt in a crash with a semi-trailer rig had improved and he was expected to be released from the hospital soon, the Utah Highway Patrol said Tuesday. UHP Cpl.
