James Laloulu was playing with other children in his fenced-in yard, near 5400 West Planada Way (4885 South), about 1 p.m. Saturday when a family member opened a gate before backing out of the driveway. Laloulu got behind the man’s Chevy Tahoe and was struck, said Unified Police Department Lt. Justin Hoyal. Laloulu was taken to Intermountain Medical Center, where he died. Aposhian, 49, faces misdemeanor counts of criminal trespass, criminal mischief, domestic violence in the presence of a child and threat of violence, which altogether could amount to a maximum penalty of up to two years in jail.
