A 9-year-old Salt Lake City boy found riding his bike on Interstate 215 late in West Valley City on Friday night will remain in state custody for at least two more weeks, a judge ordered Tuesday. During a shelter hearing in 3rd District Juvenile Court, the 25-year-old mother of the boy did not dispute that, for now, the boy should remain with the state Division of Child and Family Services. A 9-year-old Salt Lake City boy found riding his bike on Interstate 215 late Friday night was not identified until Saturday night, when police were put in contact with his mother. A couple driving on the freeway spotted the boy around 11:30 p.m., according to West Valley City Sgt. Trudy Cropper. Seana Collins lost a legal battle for her grandson when he was adopted by a family in 2011. But the Utah Supreme Court says the American Fork woman never got a fair shake in court.
