Weber State adds Arizona State, Oregon State to football schedules

Weber State has added two more Pac-12 opponents to its upcoming football schedules. The Wildcats, who play Utah this season, will open the 2014 football season at Arizona State. Weber State is also scheduled to play at Oregon State in the season opener in 2015. WSU also added a home-and-home non-conference series against Big Sky Conference foe Sacramento State for 2014 and 2015. Weber State senior Derek Harrebomee set career marks in the hammer throw and has been named the Big Sky Men’s Field Co-Athlete of the Week. Harrebomee earned the honor after his performance at last week’s Weber State Twilight Meet. For the fourth time this season, Weber State distance runner Amber Henry has been named the Big Sky Conference Women’s Track Athlete of the Week. Henry, a senior from Mountain View, Wyo., posted a career best in the 3,000-meter steeplechase Sunday night at the Payton Jordan Cardinal Invitational in Palo Alto, Calif., hosted by Stanford University. For the third time in three outdoor meets this season Weber State’s Amber Henry was named the Big Sky Conference Women’s Track Athlete of the Week. Henry received the honor after her record breaking performance last weekend. Henry, a senior from Mountain View, Wyo., set a new Weber State school record winning the University Open 1500 meters at the Mt. Sac Relay’s last Thursday in Walnut, Calif.
