Ontario, Calif. • Ontario scored three in the third period to defeat Utah 4-0 on Saturday at Citizens Business Bank Arena after the Grizzlies’ 2-1 win Friday snapped the Reign’s seven-game winning streak. In the third period, Ontario scored two goals in 40 seconds at 9:28 and 10:08 to make it 3-0. The final tally came with 4:53 left in the third period. Combined news services

ECHL: Goaltender Jimmy Spratt leads Utah Grizzlies to 2-1 over Ontario Reign

Ontario, Calif. • Jimmy Spratt stopped 34 of 35 shots as the Utah Grizzlies beat the Ontario Reign 2-1 on Friday night in ECHL play. It was Spratt’s first win with the Grizzlies. Utah had a 4-3 lead in the third period but a late onslaught by the visiting Ontario Reign doomed the Grizzlies to a 6-4 loss Saturday in front of 6,190 Maverik Center fans.
