Despite having home-court advantage, the Westminster women's basketball team fell behind early in Tuesday's Frontier Conference tournament championship game and never could catch up, losing 80-60 to Lewis-Clark State.

Seemingly everything that could go wrong for the ninth-ranked Griffins (26-6) did.

They quickly fell behind 15-2, and saw any hope for a comeback thwarted by a combination of poor shooting and too many turnovers.

After leading the nation by hitting 49.2 percent of its shots during the season, Westminster connected on only 38.5 percent Tuesday. The Griffins also committed 19 turnovers.

Keshia Catten led Westminster with 17 points.
