David Reed, receiver
The senior is the most sure-handed and electric receiver on the field for the Utes. He was the favorite target for former starter Terrance Cain, making a season-high 10 catches for 172 yards against Utah State, but he has also proved to be solid for Wynn, too, catching six passes for 111 yards and a touchdown against TCU.
Eddie Wide, running back
While a different kind of runner than Matt Asiata, Utah's powerful back who has been sidelined with a knee injury, Wide has proved to be more than a capable starter for the Utes. He set a school record earlier this season by rushing for 100-plus yards in six straight games.
Robert Johnson, safety
Whenever the Utes need a big play on defense, Johnson always seems to deliver. Against Colorado State this season, he had interceptions on three straight CSU possessions. He has 12 career interceptions. He also recovered a fumble for a touchdown against the Rams. He intercepted BYU quarterback Max Hall once in last year's game.
Koa Misi, defensive end
The senior's season got off to a difficult start when he injured his back, but since then he has come on strong and is averaging 6.1 tackles a game, the best in the conference by a lineman. The Utes didn't sack Hall last year. Misi could end that drought.
