The Utah County Commission is asking residents to fly their flags at half-staff this week in honor of two county residents killed in Afghanistan.
Lance Cpl. Carlos Aragon of Orem, was killed March 1 in a roadside bomb explosion in Afghanistan's Helmand province. Two days later, Lance Cpl. Nigel Olsen, a Salem resident, was killed when he stepped on a homemade land mine in the same region.
Both men were graduates of Mountain View High School in Orem and were members of the same Marine company.
