Posted: 11:39 AM- LAS VEGAS -- To absolutely no one's surprise, Brigham Young is predicted to win its third straight Mountain West Conference football title in 2008 in a poll of media members, the conference announced today at its annual football media gathering.

Utah is picked second, followed by TCU and New Mexico.

The Cougars garned 29 of a possible 34 first-place votes, while the Utes received the other five.

Wyoming, Air Force, San Diego State, Colorado State and UNLV were picked 5-9.

BYU is coming off its second straight undefeated conference season and has won 16 straight league games.

The Utes tied for third place (5-3) in conference play last year.
