Posted: 4:30 PM- A man who once removed adult content from movies has pleaded no contest to two counts of sexual battery.

Daniel D. Thompson on Friday entered the pleas in 4th District Court in American Fork. The counts were reduced to misdemeanors as part of a plea agreement. The two charges had been felonies. A third misdemeanor count was dismissed.

For the no contest pleas, Thompson faces up to a year in jail on each count. Sentencing is scheduled for Aug. 29.

Thompson, 31, formerly operated a business which edited racy scenes and language from movies then sold or rented them as family-friendly. But he received threats of civil legal action for using a business name similar to another film-sanitizing company and from the movie industry for altering copyrighted content. Thompson's company closed late last year.

Sometime after the business closed, another man brought two 14-year-old girls to meet Thompson, according to police reports. For $20 each, the girls performed oral sex on Thompson, according to police reports.
