Posted: 6:15 PM- Two women were found murdered in separate Ogden locations Sunday morning, and a man who confessed to the crimes is in jail.

Jacob Ethridge, 31, of Roy, turned himself in to Ogden police Sunday morning as police were investigating the case of a woman found dead behind an apartment complex on the 2400 block of Adams Avenue about 6:30 a.m., Ogden Police Lt. Scott Conley

Ethridge confessed to the second murder and led them to the body in a vacant apartment on the 2500 block of Adams Avenue, Conley said.

The killings happened early Sunday morning, Conley said. The woman found on the 2400 block of Adams was shot in the head. Police did not release information about the death of the other woman.

The women's names were not released, but both appear to be transients, Conley said.

An autopsy on the women's bodies will be performed, police said.

Ethridge was arrested on suspicion of two counts of first degree homicide and booked into the Weber County Jail.

Lilia Anguiano, 23, who has lived with her three children in an apartment on the 2400 block of Adams Avenue for about a year, says the area is a hot spot for drug activity and prostitution and that she plans to move.

"Somebody was raped in the apartment above me two months ago," she said. "It's not safe here for my kids."
