Posted: 1:13 PM- PROVO - The preliminary-hearing date for a former Eagle Mountain official charged with failing to report she took a loan from a developer was pushed back again Wednesday.

Linn Strouse, the former councilwoman, is now scheduled to return to Provo's 4th District Court on Aug. 11.

The date change was a result of an amendment to the charge. Chad Grunander, a deputy Utah County attorney, said a date of an incident in the case was changed.

Strouse is accused of taking a $10,000 loan from Eagle Mountain developer John Walden, but she allegedly failed to report it as required by state law.

If convicted on the second-degree felony, Strouse could face up to 15 years in prison, said Grunander.

Strouse lost her bid for a third council term in November after the felony charge tainted her candidacy.
