Posted: 10:03 AM- Police are looking for a man possibly dressed in drag they say attempted to kidnap two girls from the Salt Lake City Downtown Library.

An 8-year-old girl and her 5-year old-sister were at the library when the suspect grabbed their wrists and tried to pull them outside on Wednesday afternoon, according to Salt Lake City police.

The older girl told the suspect she didn't want to go and screamed for help when she saw a security guard.

The suspect then left the library, and the two girls ran back to their mother who called police.

The girls described the suspect to police as a black female, thin build with black hair in a ponytail and bun wearing a blue and green shirt, a "sparkly" skirt and high heeled shoes.

A security officer in the area said they saw a person matching the suspect description by the TRAX station on 400 South, but said the person was a male dressed as a female. - Ana Breton
