Posted: 4:26 PM- A Bluffdale man whose car was struck by a pick-up truck that ran a stop sign May 30 has died from his injuries.
Deputies confirmed that Kevin Leitch, 46, died at the Intermountain Medical Center on Friday.
Authorities say the 18-year-old driver of the truck was northbound at the intersection near 40000 West and 13800 South in Riverton when it ran a stop sign and collided with Leitch's eastbound car.
The impact sent the car 200 feet through a fence and into a backyard, said Jay Fearnley with the Unified Fire Authority.
The driver of the pick-up truck was driven to a local hospital with minor injuries.
Vehicular homicide charges may be considered, said Salt Lake County sheriff's deputy Shane Manwaring.
