Updated: 9:09 AM- An Arctic Circle employee was robbed at gunpoint on Wednesday night while he was taking out the trash.

Two male suspects were waiting for the employee near the trash bin at 10:54 p.m. The men forced the employee at gunpoint back into the restaurant located at 3883 West 5400 South.

Once inside, the suspects took more than $800 from both the cash registers and the employees before fleeing the building on foot, said Sgt. Rod Lowry at the Taylorsville Police Department.

"If they left with a car, no one saw it," Lowry said.

The three restaurant employees working that night where left "pretty shaky," said Jennifer Jennings, the store manager. "Everyone's OK," Jennings said. "The gunmen didn't take a lot of money so it wasn't really worth it."

Officers used dogs to try to locate the suspects, but were unsuccessful. Police are encouraging people with information to call (801) 955-2000.
