Posted: 10:12 AM- WASHINGTON - President Bush is set to saddle up with former presidential candidate Mitt Romney for a pair of fund-raisers in Utah next month, The Salt Lake Tribune has learned.

Bush and Romney are scheduled to rake in cash at private events on May 28 and 29, according to sources familiar with the fund-raisers.

The trip will be Bush's fourth to the state in his eight years in office.

The president will be raising money for the Republican National Committee, and is joining up with Romney, a Mormon and former head of the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City who is wildly popular in the state. While Bush's approval rating has dipped in most of the country, he still gets positive reviews in Utah, the reddest state in the union.

The White House said there was no announcement yet on the trip, though it typically does not confirm trips this far out.
