11th annual Spring Cycle Tour in Yellowstone
West Yellowstone is holding its 11th annual Spring Cycle Tour on May 10. The 64-mile route goes through two states over two mountain passes and around three lakes.
Riders of all abilities are welcome to participate; feed stations are strategically placed and vans will patrol the cycle route to give fatigued cyclists a ride when needed and to provide mechanics to help with repairs.
Preregistration is $45 for adults and $35 for children. The fee increases by $5 after April 29. A portion of the proceeds goes to the Yellowstone Park Foundation. For more information or to register, visit www.cycleyellowstone .com.

Great Salt Lake Audubon is holding the following birding trips. Beginners are welcome and carpooling is encouraged with a contribution suggested to help pay for gas.

Saturday - Wasatch Mountain State Park in Midway is celebrating Earth Day by teaching participants how to make recycled paper using materials from their homes. The program is free and runs from 11 a.m. to noon. Call 435-654-1791.

May 1-31 - In conjunction with the Great Salt Lake Bird Festival, Antelope Island State Park will hold a photographic exhibit by keynote speaker Bruce Thompson.
May 2-3 - Utah State Park naturalists Kathy Donnell and Wendy Wilson will lead a program on birds of prey at 6:30 p.m. on May 2 at Snow Canyon State Park near Ivins. Live birds will also be at the park headquarters for visitors to see on May 3. Space is limited. Register by calling 435-628-2255.
