Posted: 9:34 AM- Deseret Morning News has changed its name back to Deseret News.
"That's who and what we are _ morning, noon and night," Editor Joseph A. Cannon said in a message to readers Sunday.
The paper added "morning" to its name five years ago when it switched from afternoon delivery and wanted to promote its new identity.
But Cannon said it's no longer needed, especially with the paper posting news on its Web site 24 hours a day.
The newspaper, based in Salt Lake City, is owned by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
