Posted: 9:28 PM- With their final six games coming against Western Conference heavyweights -- to be followed by the playoffs -- the Jazz might have enjoyed their last easy night of the season in Wednesday's 117-100 victory over Minnesota.

The Jazz broke open the game behind Mehmet Okur's shooting in the third quarter and avenged Sunday's embarrassing road loss to the Timberwolves. Okur scored 22 points as the Jazz shot 59.5 percent and hit 12 three-pointers.

What's left on the schedule isn't for the faint of heart. The Jazz will play San Antonio at home Friday followed by games at Dallas and New Orleans, home against Denver and Houston and finish on the road against the Spurs.

It was the Jazz's 50th win and pulled them within a half-game of fifth-place Phoenix in the chase for first-round home-court advantage. The Jazz are still three games out of the top spot with a magic number of four to clinch the Northwest Division.

The Jazz had seven players score in double figures Wednesday, including Deron Williams with 19 points and 14 assists. The Jazz went 12 of 22 from three-point range and have hit 27 three-pointers the last three games.

Andrei Kirilenko returned after missing two games with a bruised calf and finished with 13 points in 23 minutes. Ronnie Brewer sat out with a strained groin and Jazz coach Jerry Sloan opted to start Ronnie Price ahead of C.J. Miles in Brewer's place.

The Jazz led by just three entering the second half but blew open the game in a matter of minutes. Okur scored 13 points on 5-for-5 shooting in the third quarter, including 10 straight points for the Jazz.

After a 2-for-6 first half, Okur hit a jumper, a follow-up and two three-pointers. That opened up the floor and the Jazz took their first double digit lead of the game (67-56) after Carlos Boozer drove past Al Jefferson for a layup.

The Jazz scored 38 points in the third quarter and led by as many as 21. They connected on 6 of 9 three-pointers -- three by Okur and another three from Williams, Kirilenko and Price -- and were 11 of 17 from long range through three quarters.

After giving up 110 points to Minnesota in Sunday's loss, the Jazz came out in an aggressive, gambling defense. They trapped off the pick-and-roll and ran a second defender at Al Jefferson every time the Timberwolves center caught the ball inside.

They did the job on Jefferson (12 points, 2 rebounds) but struggled to contain Minnesota's other players. Rashad McCants and Randy Foye combined for 18 points in the first half and the Jazz took just a 53-50 lead into halftime despite Kyle Korver's three three-pointers.
