Posted: 7:27 AM- SPRINGVILLE -- Springville police are investigating the death of a man found unconscious in his home Sunday.

Firefighters and police arrived at the home, 2494 S. El Dorado Dr. (150 East), at about 3:30 p.m. and found a 32-year-old man laying lifeless on the floor, said Lt. Dell Gordon. Officers performed CPR.

The man, whose name was not released, was later pronounced dead at Utah Valley Hospital.

The man's wife and two young children were in the home at the time. The man's mother-in-law, who arrived later, called 911, Gordon said. The woman told dispatchers a carbon monoxide alarm had gone off inside the home.

The mother and children were not injured, but were transported to the hospital for observation. Firefighters later used their carbon monoxide detectors and found no indications of abnormal levels of carbon monoxide, Gordon said.

Police sought and executed a search warrant Sunday because the woman denied their request to enter the home, Gordon said.

Investigators refused to release any information about their findings Sunday night.

Questar Gas officials checked all the home's appliances, but found nothing that would emit carbon monoxide into the residence.
