Posted: 7:39 AM- LEWISTON - A neighborhood of this northern Utah community was evacuated when an electrical fire threatened a fuel truck.
The Herald-Journal reports today that the blaze began in a garage and at one point was nearing a truck loaded with 500 gallons of diesel.
The fire, reported about 2:50 p.m. Tuesday, is believed to have started accidentally at the garage near 100 S. Main.
Cache County Fire District Chief Gary Roberts says it took about 90 minutes to get it under control. The Herald-Journal says residents were soon allowed to return to nearby homes.
By then, however, flames had caused about $150,000 damage to the garage, the truck and a motorcycle stored inside.
