* Today, 7 p.m.: "Reserved to Fight," which follows a company of Marines, screens at the University of Utah's Post Theater, 110 S. Fort Douglas Blvd., Salt Lake City. The film's director and producer, Chantelle Squires and Manju Varghese, respectively, and members of the company Marines will attend.

* Thursday, 6:30 p.m.: REI, 3285 E. 3300 South, East Millcreek, invites people 16 and older to learn about rock climbing. Experienced climbers will be available to answer questions and supervise trips up REI's climbing wall. For details, call 801-486-2100.

* The Davis County Library is giving away past issues of magazines through Feb. 29 at its Northwest branch, 1875 S. 2000 West in Syracuse, and the Kaysville branch, 44 N. Main St. Magazines are discarded in one-year bundles, and patrons are limited to three bundles each. For more information, call the library's main branch at 806-451-2322.

* Saturday, all day: The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources hosts Bald Eagle Day. State biologists and volunteers with spotting scopes will be at the Salt Creek Waterfowl Management Area near Corinne (10 a.m. to 3 p.m.) and at Farmington Bay Waterfowl Management Area west of Farmington (9 a.m. to 4 p.m.). * Sunday, 7 p.m.: How often do you hear a cimbalom and viola together? You'll have a chance when members of the University of Utah music faculty perform Morris Rosenzweig's "Just One Step Beyond," for the viola and cimbalom (a Hungarian box zither), in Libby Gardner Concert Hall, 1375 E. Presidents Circle, on the U. campus in Salt Lake City. Also on the program is Dvorák's String Quintet No. 2, with violinists Gerald Elias and Barbara Scowcroft, violist Roberta Zalkind, cellist John Eckstein and bassist David Yavornitzky.
