Posted: 3:31 PM- The National Weather Service has posted a snow and blowing snow advisory for the Wasatch Front through 10 p.m. because of a winter storm system that has lingered over northern Utah.

Snow showers are expected to continue in the northern Utah mountains and Wasatch mountain valleys until late tonight, with locally significant accumulations possible.

The storm system is expected to finally clear out after midnight, but another weak disturbance will bring the threat of light snow to the northern part of the state late Saturday through Saturday night.

High pressure will bring drier weather on Sunday and Monday, with inversions building in the valleys and milder temperatures in the mountains. But another cold front is forecast to arrive on Tuesday, bringing perhaps more snow showers.
