Posted: 7:00 PM- As he left the Jazz's pregame shootaround Thursday, Matt Harpring said he was on his way to the doctor's office to talk about options with his wife, Amanda, set to deliver their second child within the week.

Apparently, there wasn't much to discuss. Harpring's wife went into labor and the team announced 90 minutes before tipoff that Harpring would miss Thursday night's game against the Phoenix Suns.

Mandy Harpring had a Jan. 16 due date. The couple have a 2-year-old son, Luke. The Harprings were set to discuss whether to induce labor to take advantage of the Jazz playing at home this week.
