Posted: 9:03 AM- Saratoga Springs police Thursday evening arrested a Kearns construction worker suspected of shooting his friend with a nail gun at least three times in the head and torso earlier this week.

Police booked 28-year-old Pedro Contreras in Utah County jail on suspicion of attempted criminal homicide and vehicle theft.

Contreras shot another construction worker, a friend of his from from Kearns, during a fight Wednesday afternoon at a job site, police said.

The victim was upgraded to critical but stable condition and is being treated for one wound to his head and at least two others in the torso, Cpl. Aaron Rosen said.

Rosen was unsure what the men were fighting about.
