* Recording artist Brenn Hill will headline a concert to benefit miners' families Saturday at 7 p.m. at Emery High School, 975 N. Spartan Center St., Castle Dale. NBA star Shawn Bradley, who grew up in Castle Dale, will emcee the event. Oher special guests include Stampede, Stan Tixier and Jerry Brooks. Tickets are $15 at the door, with all proceeds to go directly to the Zions Bank Crandall Canyon donation accounts. Those who cannot attend the concert can still make a donation to either the Crandall Canyon Family Support Donation Account or the Crandall Canyon Rescue Worker Donation Account at any Zions Bank branch or by calling 888-788-1099. Donations also can be mailed to Zions' Huntington branch, P.O. Box 60, Huntington, UT, 84528. Both accounts will be handled by the mayor of Huntington and all funds will be distributed to the victims' families.

* Park City Helitours, South Salt Lake Fire Department, South Salt Lake City and South Salt Lake Professional Firefighters Local 1680 will hold a fundraiser Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at The Canyons Resort, Park City, and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the Granite High School South Baseball Field, 3400 S. 500 East, South Salt Lake. For a minimum donation of $40 per person, participants will enjoy a helicopter ride above Park City or the Salt Lake Valley.

* Utah Valley State College on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. will hold a benefit concert for families and rescuers in the Ragan Theater on campus, 800 W. University Parkway, Orem. The concert will feature Hourglass, a progressive rock band from Orem. Tickets are available at Campus Connection, 801-863-8797, and are $7. All proceeds will go directly to the families of miners involved in the disaster.

* A former employer of trapped miner Brandon Phillips has set up an account at Wells Fargo Bank to benefit Phillips' son, Gauge. Donations can be made at any Wells Fargo branch.

* The Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Service, Southern Baptist Relief and the American Red Cross have served more than 3,500 meals to emergency workers and others at the mine. To make donations to help, send checks payable to Salvation Army earmarked ''Disaster Relief'' to P.O. Box 281, Green River, UT 84525 or call 800-SAL-ARMY (800-725-2769).

* The Utah Mining Association will dedicate its annual convention this week to the Crandall Canyon miners, the rescuers and their families, according to the UMA's executive director, David Litvin. The industry group, which counts six Utah coal companies as members, also will donate the proceeds of a silent auction, fees from a golf tournament and donations from association members to the fund for the trapped miners and the injured rescuers.

* Helper City will hold a benefit Friday evening for the nine families afflicted by the Crandall Canyon Mine disaster. Food will be sold, an auction will be conducted, and prayers and song will be offered up starting at 6 p.m. at the Main Street Park. Helper Mayor Mike Dalpiaz said "100 percent of all funds raised will be given to the families of the miners." An account, the Helper Crandall Canyon Fund, has been set up at Wells Fargo Bank for the victims' families.
