Posted: 12:15 PM- About 10,000 homes and businesses in Davis County lost power for about 1 1/2 hours this morning when two substations went offline.

The outage began at 11:37 a.m. and affected Centerville, Farmington and possibly Bountiful, said David Eskelsen, a spokesman for Rocky Mountain Power. All customers had their electricity back by 1:18 p.m., he said.

Eskelsen said the cause of the outage is unknown, but technicians suspect a component failed in one of the substations.
