Posted: 5:21 PM- A West High School guidance counselor is accused of sexually abusing a 14-year-old student.
Marco Herrera, 51, was arrested and charged with two first-degree felony counts of rape; two first-degree felony counts of forcible sodomy; and five second-degree felony counts of forcible sexual abuse, police said. He was booked into the Salt Lake County jail in lieu of $250,000 bail.
West High School has terminated Herrera's employment, police said.
