Posted: 8:00 AM- LINDON - A West Jordan man has been arrested in connection with the theft of a big flat-screen TV.

The incident happened at a Wal-Mart store in Lindon when, police say, a store clerk witnessed a 24-year-old man switching price tags on a television and vacuum cleaner.

A police report says the man then had his wife go through the check stands to pay for the items while he left the store. Officers say the woman paid $90 for the TV set and $39.88 for the vacuum.

The original price of the television was $987, while the vacuum was $378.42, according to the report.

Police stopped the woman as she was leaving the store.

The man later admitted to changing the tags, police say. He was arrested and booked into jail for investigation of retail theft.
