A Sandy woman was arrested Wednesday after being charged in 3rd District Court with first degree felony counts of rape and forcible sodomy for allegedly engaging in sexual acts with two of her daughter's friends. Both of the victims, boys who were 16 years old when the alleged incidents occurred, told police that Kathy English, 54, had given them drugs and engaged in sexual activity without their consent, said Sandy police Sgt. Victor Quezada. The first incident allegedly occurred on Nov. 12, 2005, at English's home. The second incident also allegedly occurred at her home sometime between Dec. 1, 2005, and Feb. 1, 2006, according to the charges. The second incident was reported to police after the first victim allegedly witnessed English and the other boy engaged in sexual activity, Quezada said. A lab test positively identified DNA belonging to English on the clothing of one of the victims, according to court documents. - Michael N. Westley
