Posted: 1:42 PM- A 17-year-old man was arrested by West Jordan police officers after allegedly running off with money taken in a robbery of a Carl's Jr. restaurant. A bandit walked into the restaurant near 9000 South and Redwood Road at 9 a.m. and brandished a handgun, said West Jordan police Capt. Gary Cox.

After forcing four employees into a back office, he took money from the cash registers and ran out the east exit. One of the employees was able to dial 911, Cox said. Officers already in the area arrived on the scene and were able to arrest the man about 100 yards east of the restaurant. The man - who is being held on suspicion of aggravated robbery - may also be connected to four robberies in West Jordan, two in South Jordan and one in Taylorsville, Cox said. Officers from those agencies met Tuesday to discuss the cases.
