The Utah Geological Survey (UGS) has, for the first time, produced a calendar showcasing the state's geologic scenery. UGS employees submitted 240 photos for the 2007 calendar. Images show evidence of glaciers, erosion, earthquakes, ancient life and volcanoes. Samples of the photos can be seen at www.geology.utah.gov.

The calendars are $3.95 and available at the Utah Department of Natural Resources Map and Bookstore, 1594 W. North Temple, in Salt Lake City. Orders can also be placed by calling 801-537-3320, 888-UTAH-MAP or by e-mailing geostore@utah.gov.
