Utah State did a lot of things correctly. The Aggies finished with 305 yards of total offense - a season-high - and put together scoring drives of 71 and 65 yards. But Idaho turned three turnovers into 21 points - the difference in this game.

Description: On first down, Cross took a straight handoff and scored, giving Utah State its first lead of the season.

Key Play: On second-and-12 from the Idaho 24, Jackson read the coverage perfectly and hit Tarell Richards for 18 yards.

Description - On third-and-goal from the 1, Jackson froze the defense with a nice play fake and had his choice of open receivers in the end zone. He threw it to Bohm over the middle.

Key Play: After Utah State's first touchdown, Idaho's Wes Williams dropped the kickoff. The ball bounced right to Aggie senior Chris James, setting up the mini-drive for the touchdown.

Description - On fourth and a foot and the Aggie defense crowding the line of scrimmage, Bird broke cleanly through the right side and spun into the end zone for the touchdown.

Key Play: Facing third-and-12 from the 19, quarterback Steve Wichman hit Lee Smith on a delay pattern over the middle. Smith didn't get the first down, but he came close enough so the Vandals could comfortably go for it on fourth down.

Description - With Utah State threatening to score just before halftime, Franks intercepted and scored, turning a potential 11-point deficit into a three-point lead for the grateful Vandals.

Description - Wichman capped a drive with a nice play fake on third-and-1. He rolled right and hit Williams at the goal line for the touchdown.

Description: Amancio kicked his second field goal of the game and improved to 6-for-7 on the season by drilling a 42-yarder that would have been good from beyond 50.

Key Play: On the first play of the drive, Marlon Haynes made a spectacular one-handed catch along the sideline to quickly move the Vandals into field-goal territory.

Description - Utah State freshman quarterback Riley Nelson was hit trying to throw. The ball squirted into the air. Ratti grabbed and rumbled in for the Vandal defense's second touchdown of the game.

Description: Nelson led the Aggies down the field and McDaniel bulled over from the 8 against Idaho's second team defense.
