A month after their 5-year-old daughter, Destiny Ann Norton, was kidnapped and murdered, Rickey and Rachael Norton welcomed into the world their third child, Faith LeeAnn Norton. The infant, who weighed in at 6 pounds, 11 ounces and is 20 inches long, was born at 10:09 p.m. Tuesday at LDS Hospital, said Peter Brooks, a family friend. Faith was greeted by family and friends who packed into Rachael's hospital room. The baby girl's birth "was a moment," Brooks said. "It seemed really normal, like nothing had happened to Destiny." Faith's middle name, LeeAnn, is a combination of Rickey and Rachael's middle names, Brooks said. Rickey's middle name is Lee, while Rachael's middle name is Ann. Their two older children, Destiny and Trinity, also share their parents' middle names. Destiny's was Ann, while Trinity's is Lee. Destiny had suggested her little sister be named "Fate LeeAnn." Brooks said the proud parents may release a photo of Faith at a later date. Investigators found Destiny's body in 20-year-old Craig Gregerson's basement eight days after she disappeared July 16 from her Salt Lake City home. Prosecutors allege Gregerson lured Destiny into his apartment, suffocated her and sexually abused her body. Gregerson is charged with capital murder and is scheduled to appear in court Oct. 3 for a preliminary hearing. - Lisa Rosetta
