Hassan Adams, Arizona's leading scorer, may not play when the University of Utah men's basketball team hosts the No. 24 Wildcats on Saturday.

Adams, 21, was arrested Sunday after an incident outside his apartment in Tucson, according to a police report. There were roughly 200 people in the parking lot at 2 a.m. when the party apparently turned into a fight.

The senior became involved in an argument between a woman and her former boyfriend, the woman told police, and he refused to leave when officers told him to go home. He was issued a misdemeanor citation for disturbing the peace, then released.

Adams averages 18.3 points per game for the Wildcats.

The university is not permitted to speak about disciplinary issues due to the Family Education Right to Privacy Act. However, the basketball team can mete its own punishment.

"The question of punishment is one that will be handled internally," said athletic department spokesman Richard Paige. "Whether he sits out a game or a half, that will be up to the coaching staff. It's an internal matter."

Utah hosts Arizona at the Huntsman Center at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
