A crash on Interstate 15 killed two people in southern Utah on Wednesday, police said.
A man and woman were driving north in a minivan when the driver lost control near Beaver about 12:30 p.m., said Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Cameron Roden.
The minivan went through the median and ended up sideways in the southbound lanes. A southbound Dodge pickup truck struck the minivan on the passenger side, killing both people on impact, Roden said.
The minivan had Colorado license plates, but troopers were still confirming the two people's hometowns, names and ages Wednesday. Troopers are also investigating why the driver lost control of the minivan, though slushy roads may have contributed to the crash.
The pickup driver was not seriously injured.
