No, Los Angeles Lakers forward Ron Artest didn't have a wardrobe malfunction.

Artest was just being Artest when he appeared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" Monday night wearing only underwear.

The Houston Rockets said after Artest left the team this summer that he once rode on the team bus in only his underwear to a playoff game.

"I'm so sorry. I was running late," said Artest, who may have been short on time because he was getting Kimmel's name shaved in the back of his head.

"You don't have to put your clothes on," Kimmel said. "Relax. We're very casual around here."

Artest claimed he was actually wearing shorts, saying to Kimmel, "I can even put your pen right in my pocket."

Naturally, Clippers were involved

The Clippers don't need to give fans any more reasons not to go to their games.

But Green Day provided one last Monday when they put on a free concert outside Staples Center, coinciding with the Clippers' game against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

NBC plans on broadcasting the concert for "New Year's Eve with Carson Daly," showing Daly's gig isn't like the old days at "Total Request Live."
