A 10-year-old boy who had been missing since Tuesday afternoon has been found safe in California, a Layton police spokesman said late Wednesday evening.
Robert Pierce IV was found with his mother in Whittier and taken into custody by child service workers, said Sgt. Jason Hinojosa.
The mother was arrested on a felony warrant for custodial interference and is awaiting extradition to Utah, Hinojosa said.
