Terry D. Milton, a 45-year-old semitrailer driver from Hartford, Ala., has been identified as the man who died when his rig slid down a 400-foot embankment Monday on State Road 14.

Milton was hauling steel coils about 2 p.m. when he lost control of the tractor-trailer and slammed into a cement barrier near mile marker 9 in Iron County, Utah Highway Patrol spokesman Cameron Roden said.

The rig went over the barrier, sending it down the embankment and colliding with trees and rocks. Milton was ejected during the crash. Speed may have been a factor in the crash, Roden said.
