The Utah Grizzlies shuffled the roster during the week but it made no difference Friday as the Grizzlies (9-4) shutout the Las Vegas Wranglers 4-0 at the E Center. Mitch O'Keefe saved 21 shots for Utah and the Wranglers (6-9) gave up three power play goals.

Three of the Grizzlies' top six scorers -- including their top two -- moved on from the club this week. Ryan Kinasewich and Jason Sixsmith were called up to AHL clubs on Monday and Matt Caria was traded to Florida on Tuesday.

With those players moving out, others moved in--and made their mark. Newcomer Brett Parnham opened the scoring at 15:43 in the first period off of assists from Bobby Hughes and the player the Grizzlies received from Florida, Jadran Beljo.

Two more goals in the second period made a third period Wrangler comeback unlikely, but Vlady Nikiforov made sure of it by putting home a penalty shot at 17:49 in the third.

"In the first seven or eight minutes, we didn't get started the way wanted to," coach Kevin Colley said. "But after that all 18 guys were pulling the rope the same way."

Doing a lot of the pulling himself was O'Keefe. The goaltender is 5-0 in November, averaging 1.6 goals against. It took a full 60 minutes for O'Keefe to post his second shutout of the season as he trapped a dangerous shot against his chest with 1:21 left in the game to preserve the clean slate.

"I think everyone on the team's chipping in and it makes it easy on me," O'Keefe said.

Utah hopes its new pieces can continue to contribute and improve as they fully integrate into their new team. Beljo looked ready to play, laying some solid hits on his very first shift and, of course, adding the assist. Parnham's rebound goal set the tone for the night and Chris Brooks, the third newcomer, blended right into the rotation.

"They obviously fit right in," Dylan Hunter said. "They're all skilled hockey players and it showed tonight."
