The first snowfall of the season is slowing commuters in southern Salt Lake County, but most freeway traffic was moving as normal during the morning's peak traffic period.

The Utah Department of Transportation reported delays of more than 15 minutes in both directions of Interstate 15 from 9400 South to 12400 South. The slowing was expected to last until about 9:30, according to UDOT.

No other significant delays were reported as of 8:45 a.m.
