An Idaho woman died Monday in a Cache County car wreck, and her husband may have been driving drunk, the Utah Highway Patrol said.

Katie Marie Sanders, 24, of Lewiston, Idaho, died at the scene. Her 25-year-old husband, Cassey G. Sanders, went to Logan Regional Hospital with head, neck and back injuries, said UHP Trooper Cameron Roden.

About 8:40 p.m. Monday, the couple's 1996 Chrysler LHS was traveling east on State Road 142 near Richmond. The car went off the right shoulder, Cassey Sanders overcorrected and the car went off the north side of the road and rolled through a fence, UHP said. Neither husband nor wife was wearing a seat belt, UHP said, and Katie Sanders was partially ejected.

Troopers believe the car was speeding and the driver was under the influence of alcohol, but Roden said troopers do not yet know how fast the car was traveling. Roden said troopers will discuss criminal charges with the county attorney.
