Motorcycle passenger dies after collision with deer

A motorcycle passenger died after the bike collided Sunday with a deer in Millard County.

Pamela Gronning, 50, of Sheridan, Mont., was riding a 2007 Harley Davidson north on State Road 257 near Deseret when the motorcycle hit a deer and slid about 200 feet, Utah Highway Patrol troopers wrote. Both Gronning and the driver were wearing helmets. The driver suffered minor injuries; Gronning suffered critical head injuries. She was pronounced dead at a hospital.
