A pair of Salt Lake City men are accused of assaulting their grandmother with bottles of shampoo and baby powder before urinating on the woman and leaving her injured in a bathroom.

The attack occurred July 2 at a home near 700 South and 300 East, according to charging documents filed Tuesday in 3rd District Court.

Michael Levi Hansen Jr., 20, and Christopher Eugene Hansen, 22, forced their way into a bathroom in the home they shared with their 66-year-old grandmother as the woman was taking a shower, court documents state.

Christopher Hansen allegedly threw bottles of shampoo and baby powder at her. He then punched the woman in the face and pushed her into a bathtub, causing her to hit her head as she fell, according to charging documents.

Christopher Hansen proceeded to urinate on his grandmother, then left the bathroom and damaged a living room cabinet.

As his grandmother tried to leave the bathroom, Michael Hansen shoved and hit the woman. Hansen then urinated on his grandmother's clothing and punched holes in the walls, court documents state.

Police who responded to the scene reported bruising on the victim's face and a cut on her head.

The Hansen brothers are charged with one count of third-degree felony aggravated abuse of an elder adult; lewdness, a class B misdemeanor; and criminal mischief, a class B misdemeanor.

The two are being held in the Salt Lake County jail in lieu of $25,000 bail.
