A St. George man died Sunday morning when his 1996 Land Rover rolled on Interstate 15 in Millard County, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.

The accident happened about 10:15 a.m. when 60-year-old Kenneth Snow veered off southbound I-15 near the Cove Fort historical site, said UHP spokesman Jeff Nigbur.

He tried to steer the SUV back on the road, but over-corrected. The vehicle crossed both southbound lanes, went into the median and rolled down a steep embankment. It hit a large juniper tree and came to rest on its top. Snow, who was wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was the only person in the SUV.
