A head-on collision near Honeyville in Box Elder County on Saturday afternoon left a family of five injured, the Utah Highway Patrol said.
A car and pickup truck slammed into each other while traveling on the two-lane State Road 38 near the juncture of State Road 204 about 3:30 p.m., said Jeff Nigbur, a spokesman for the Utah Department of Public Safety.
The driver of the pickup was not injured. But two adults in the car suffered minor injuries and their three children also suffered injuries, Nigbur said. One of the children was flown by helicopter to a hospital in Brigham City for treatment, he said.
It is unclear what caused the vehicles to collide. More details were not immediately available.
