Park City's Lindsey Vonn and Lindsey Van are among the recipients of the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association's athlete of the year awards that will be presented at its annual awards ceremony Friday in Park City.

Joining them will be Todd Lodwick, Ryan St. Onge, Kikkan Randall and Lindsey Jacobellis.

"In a year like this with 14 World Championship medals, five World Cup titles and 32 wins, it's hard to pick award recipients," USSA vice president Luke Bodensteiner said. "It's a real credit to the hard work of these athletes and their teams."

Vonn, a part-time Park City resident, was named the Alpine athlete of the year for the second straight year after defending her World Cup overall and downhill titles, adding the super-G title and winning gold in the downhill and super-G at the world championships.

A native of Park City, Van became the first women's world champion in ski jumping to earn that discipline's athlete of the year award, while St. Onge won the first aerials world title for an American man in a decade to win freestyle athlete of the year honors.

Lodwick is the Nordic combined athlete of the year after winning two golds at the world championships, while Randall is the cross country athlete of the year after becoming the first American woman to medal at the world championships, claiming silver in the freestyle sprint.

Jacobellis won snowboarding athlete of the year honors after winning the World Cup snowboard-cross title.
